This term we wrote a recount about what we were most proud of. I chose to write a recount about Forest lakes camp.

Here is a list of the instructions on how to make a recount.

1. Give it a title.
2. Write a quick list of what good writers use like Wow words.
3. Write a quick orientation.
4. Write paragraphs of the events that happened.
5. Use words like firstly, secondly, after and finely.
6. Then you write a conclusion.

And that’s the list on how to make a recount.

I was proud of my punctuation and spelling because I didn’t get many words wrong.

I need to work on my Wow words because I know I can do better wow words like amazingly, fantastic, rundown playground, extremely, cafetiera.

Here is my recount.

Forest lakes camp

“Hurry up Carter, you’re gonna make us late!” Yelled Mum.

When we arrived Lucas’s friends were there so he went off to play with them while I was standing with my Mum unfortunately my Mum had to leave so i was there just standing by myself then the bell rang so everyone went inside then we got put into our car groups Luckily i was with Mrs ward and Linkin.

First we arrived at camp. We all went to a hangout place where we got put into camp groups. My group was amazing. My group’s parent helpers were Ray and Liz and I had some of my friends with me too so I was happy. Then my group went off to our first activity mini putt. We all had amazing fun. We weren’t keeping scores though.

Secondly everyone had some of their lunch that they packed at their house. All of a sudden everyone heard a whistle it was Mrs ward she told us the some groups will get to do laser tag my group was one of four but we had to wait are turn so while we were waiting our group leaders decided to do our next activity ten pin bowling it was so much fun once we finished we strolled to the rundown playground to watch the other two groups play while we were waiting. Finely it was our turn it felt like we were waiting for ten hours our camp group was versing the Warriors. We won all our games except for two of them.

Finally we all went to the cafeteria to have some dinner. I didn’t know what it was? After 5 minutes we found out It was one of my favorite meals. Fish and chips. Once we all finished dinner we all got desserts. It was an amazingly made ice cream sundae. Everyone gobbled theirs down. Once we finished we went to bed. 

Before we went to bed we got to read for 5 minutes. After that it was lights out. After that 5 minutes Me and my cabin group slept like a log all night.

In the morning we all got dressed and tidied up our rooms for when we left. After 10 minutes it was time to leave. I had an amazingly good time there. even my friends agreed with me. After we all had a talk we went with our car groups again to drive back to school Lucky for me i was with Mrs ward again.
