This term (term 3) my pod made some calendar art for Matariki. We had to draw a whale and a waka on a scrap piece of paper. Now i will take you through the steps
- You need to do a draft of your whale and your waka.
- When you get the calendar art piece of paper you write your name, age and class.
- Then you use some blue dye to make the water on your calendar art paper.
- After that has dried you do the sky in black paint.
- Then you get a good piece of paper and trace your practice.
- Then you color in your whale and waka in.
- Then you cut out your whale and waka.
- Then you get a glue stick and glue your whale and waka on.
- Once you have finished doing that you can draw a rope and hook.
- Then you glue the rope and hook on.
- Lastly you get gold star stickers and stick them on.
We didn’t have any gold stars so we had to wait but we did everything else tho. Here is a photo of my one so far.
I was most proud of my waka it was hard at first but i got the hag of it.
What I found tricky was the whale because my one was either too big or too small eventually i did it.
Do you make calendar art?
